D. & D. Smith is a family owned,
Australian company located in Padstow, Sydney. Founded in 1969, the company has grown significantly
whilst supporting companies both locally and Australia wide.
With the foundations of the company based on quality control and customer service, D. & D. Smith
quickly gained accreditation to ISO 9002 quality standards. Armed with this, the company soon
established a solid customer base which has increased dramatically since. Some of the major
customers employing D. & D. Smith's services include the automotive, mining and building industries.
The company owns over 20 presses of various sizes and is capable of mass production of
materials up to 10mm thick. This includes operations such as drawing, punching, pressing,
drilling and spot welding. D. & D. Smith employs approximately 20 staff, of which several
are toolmakers, enabling the manufacture and repair of intricate dies and the design of production
tooling.
